ABOUT THE HOMES
“HOGARES DE AMOR” (Homes of Love)
Children receive personalized attention; they are able to discover and develop their emotional, academic, working, cultural, sports, religious and social expectations directing them towards real and achievable goals, allowing them to realize that this process has tangible results, which also gives them a different alternative and outlook in life.
The idea behind Hogares de Amor has been to offer shelter for these children as well as giving them the opportunity to learn about themselves, their families and society. Hogares Providencia in turn, protects these minors throughout their learning process.
Phases:
Fundación Hogares Providencia works on all of the fundamental and complementary phases of the process.
Alianza de Amor (Alliance of Love)
This has been defined, as the initial moment when at Hogares Providencia the educator in his own environment comes into contact with the children and that his expectations are to generate an environment of trust and acceptance.
Casa de Encuentros (House of Encounters)
This phase represents the option of being able to care for the children’s most urgent needs, such as, company, respect, food and lodging, giving continuity to the educational and learning process, which began with the alliance of love.
Hogares De Amor (Homes of Love)
During this phase, the goals are to give the children a new and different opportunity, offering them a formal education (which is similar to the one taught in public schools) or informal education (moral and psychological orientation). Here, the attention towards the children becomes much more personalized and they are able to discover, direct and develop their own skills.
Vida De Familia (Family Life)
During this phase, work is carried out together with the children, parents, staff, psychologists, and teachers, going through all of the different stages in order to achieve an effective reintegration into the home. Although the child may reintegrate into his family, the Foundation carries out constant checks to ensure the quality of life of the minors.
