The Lack of a Home
You are probably asking yourself why these children
are living under these conditions. There are several
answers to this question, however, most of them happen
as a result of extreme family conditions, many times
children are abandoned by their mothers who might decide
to engage in prostitution; other times, they are orphans;
sometimes however, the economic situation at home obliges
the parents to abandon their children.
Often
times, the children decide to abandon their homes when
they see their parents are addicted to drugs and are
unable to educate them.
Constant physical and sexual abuse at times obliges
these children to flee from their homes and to prefer
living within the dangers of the streets rather than
receive physical abuse from their parents.
These minors prefer to withstand the cold and rain,
go hungry, be mugged, the insecurity, loneliness, violence,
sickness, the lack of protection, receive no help, and
all other adverse conditions than living with their
families.
